If you’re using a custom email address (e.g., [email protected]), you can still take advantage of Gmail’s clean and reliable interface by adding your domain email to the Gmail mobile app.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to get it set up:

Step 1: Open the Gmail App

Make sure you have the Gmail app installed and updated on your Android or iOS device. Launch the app to begin.

Step 2: Tap on Profile Icon > “Add Another Account”

Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner. In the menu that appears, tap “Add another account.”

Step 3: Select “Other”

From the list of email providers (Google, Outlook, Yahoo, etc.), choose “Other” for your custom domain email.

Step 4: Enter Your Domain Email Address

Type in your full domain email (e.g., [email protected]) and tap Next.

Step 5: Select Account Type (IMAP or POP3)

Choose IMAP (recommended for syncing across devices) when prompted for the account type.

Step 6: Input Incoming and Outgoing Server Settings
Incoming Mail Server (IMAP):
  • Username: Full email address

  • Password: Your domain email password

  • Server: mail.yourdomain.com

  • Port: 993

  • Security type: SSL/TLS

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP):
  • SMTP Server: mail.yourdomain.com

  • Port: 465

  • Security type: SSL/TLS

  • Require sign-in: Yes

  • Username & Password: Same as above

Step 7: Account Options

Choose your sync frequency, notifications, and other preferences, then tap Next.

Step 8: Done!

Give your account a display name (e.g., "Work Email" or "MyBrand") and tap Next again. You’re all set! Gmail will now begin syncing your domain email.

Conclusion

That’s it! You’ve now added your professional domain email to the Gmail mobile app. This setup lets you use Gmail’s powerful features while keeping your branding consistent with a custom address.
